What is Speechcraft?
It is a program to develop your public speaking skills and so much more!
You will gain confidence in all aspects of communication, including prepared and impromptu speeches, body language, gestures, active listening, audio visual aids and critical evaluation.

"The course was enthusiastically run. It was engaging, thought provoking, well structured providing positive challenges and lots of opportunities to meet & get to know new and wonderful people. |
"What a fantastic course and would highly recommend it to others!" |
Your course coordinators are accomplished Toastmasters who present the fundamentals of public speaking and effective communication in a relaxed and supportive environment similar to their own Toastmaster Clubs.
Learn By Doing
"I believe all participants improved greatly over the course. well presented material and appropriate pressure to be involved in the practical sessions"" |
In Speechcraft you will learn through practice by using the prepared materials provided. Through active participation you will become an experienced and poised presenter. You have the choice of using your own speech subjects (including work focused topics) or your Toastmaster mentors can help you prepare for your short presentations.
Each participant will have presented 4 speeches by the end of the course. Usually a speech is 3 to 5 minutes in length. Fortunately, public speaking is a skill that can be learnt. In just a few sessions, you may not completely get rid of the butterflies in your stomach, but you will certainly have them flying in formation ! How to handle and control 'nervous energy' is at the forefront of every session ! Of course, it is best to attend all sessions of the course however it is understandable, in these busy times, that you may not be able to attend one or two sessions. If this is the case the Course Coordinator will help you to fill in the learning gaps. There will be light refreshments provided at each session including tea and coffee. At the end of the course you will receive a signed & authorised Certificate of Completion ready to be proudly displayed in its own frame and added to your resume ! |
Speechcraft will improve your performance when:
